2. Design an integrated on and off-road network that seamlessly accommodates users.

3. Develop a sustainable blueprint for planning and construction.

4. Prioritize the comfort and safety of users.

5. Integrate cycling into day-to-day decision making.

6. Support long-term strategic objectives of the municipality.

7. Leverage cycling opportunities to enhance the tourism environment.

The plan is not complete we are hoping to have a final plan by years end. We had the online survey that took place but is now closed. We intend to have another round of public engagement in the very near future.

  • Share I can't find any real indication of what this plan is going to mean to trails that are already in place. For instance one of the pictures used is the bridge in Geddes park area which is used by walkers, dog walkers etc. I see no mention of walking although i have never seen bicycles on these paths. What trails or areas are the bike trails going to impact? Thanks. on Facebook Share I can't find any real indication of what this plan is going to mean to trails that are already in place. The plan will not be making changes to the existing trail network. However, it has looked at where the trails are, how they are used and how we can integrate that into any of the cycling routes that are being considered throughout the community within the public road allowance.
