The 2021 Queen Street Summer Access Area Survey has concluded. Thank you to those who participated.

Thank you for your interest in the Promenade on Queen!

The Municipality of Kincardine, in partnership with the Kincardine BIA and Chamber of Commerce, have been soliciting feedback on the Promenade on Queen.

Promenade on Queen was initiated in 2020 to support downtown businesses during the Covid-19 pandemic while adhering to social distancing protocols.

To determine if the Promenade on Queen should continue beyond the pandemic, a survey of local businesses was conducted in the fall of 2021. The majority of businesses (70%) indicated they were in favour of the Promenade on Queen continuing. The business survey results can be found on the right under “Documents”.

The public was also asked to provide feedback on the Promenade on Queen from January - February 2022. The public survey closed on February 14, 2022.

Staff will be reviewing input collected from downtown businesses, from the public and from data that was collected during the summer promenade in 2020 and 2021.

A report will be going forward to Council on March 7th, 2022. Council will be reviewing the information to inform their decision-making.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out with your questions.
